M-audio Delta66 seems like a good choice. It has balanced inputs + 24-bit
96Khz performance. I think it's about 400$ or even less. I do not know exact because i live in Euroland.

Doesnt the 1212M come with the EmulatorX software? I want to get that.

That, vinyl and a MPC would be all I need.

the 1212M dosen't come with the Emulator (Proteus) software

the 1820 ships with it.

you can also purchase just the Emulator seperately if your not in need of a new sound card.

i would definetly go with the EMU card, same A/D converter as Pro Tools
(I just cop this one last week, sound quality is stupid clear)

low latency, so i can finally use Reason with the MPC.

(noticable latency still if you want to program the Redrum through the MPC but strings and other instruments its straight.)

runner up cards would be Aardvark Q10, Delta 1010, Lynx 1 in no particular order

Yeah DJ James there is package called the Emulator X that ships with the 1212m for $299.00

But the 1212m Soundcard can be purchase seperately with the option to upgrade to the Emulator software within the first 30 days of purchase for $99.99.

After the first 30 days of purchasing the 1212m, the Emulator software will run you $149.00

There are a lot of different packages / options

call EMU @ 1-888-372-1372 for the full scope of things, speak to a "real" sales rep

i am just a customer :D
