aural enhancer/big bottom

Anyone have any experience with this rack unit? I forget the model #s, there are a few. They are also available as plug-ins. But more curious about the rack, as it is pretty cheap nowadays to get an older version.
Got some older material on DAT that sounds a little muddy compared to my newer recs...

sounds like your talking about the 204 model.

you can find companies with similar products as plugin version but the hardware is where its at in this case.

the 204 can help bring more "harmonics" to your mix allowing each instrument its own space

but to clean up a bad mix, that's something it can't do

it does have the big bottom feature for sustaining your bass longer and make kicks tighter but it can't clean up "mud"

thats a frequency issue you need to fix in the mix.

i own the hardware 204 and it will add a lot of brillance to your tracks.
and it has been known to wake up a dusty jam, bringing it back to life

but it can't fix a bad mix
