Sequential Circuits Prophet 2002+ 12 bit sampler?

Hi, can anybody comment on the Sequential Circuits Prophet 2002+? it's a 12 bit sampler, but how does it sounds compared to another 12 bit sampler such as the s950, mpc60, sp1200? does it have the same sampling engine as the studio440? if you actually owned one, can you please shed some light on this unit? Thanks

has a great sound imo, much better than the akai....it loads studio440 disks...from what i can remember its more or less the same sample engine...with one tiny difference...has resonant filters and internal sounds too.....if you can cop one go for it...only minus on this one is slowish loading times on floppy...

It's basicaly the rack version of the Prophet 2000 sampling keyboard which I had...it uses the same filter chips to my knowledge as the mighty Prophet 5 synthesizer and also the internal samples are actually Prophet 5 samples.
How does it sound? LOVELY! and it's filters are so good! A bit odd assigning samples and shit but worth using for just sampling loops
