soft for mastering

I'm lookin for a mastering software that works in standalone,and runs on MAC OS X.....Any ideas? Peace.

wave has a full line of mastering software. it also depends on how much you are spending. mastering software can get expensive.

A lot of people swear by T-Racks by IK multimedia.

i agree with digital (i have sampletank 2 xl from ik multimedia) but i use wave products.

I have T-Racks by IK. Its alright I dont know if it really is the best option out there....but it gets the job done. Has good mastering presets that are good for a place to start at. I also have the waves stuff which is good too....I mostly use my outboard dbx compressor when I "master" a track(its nowhere near professional anyways). So I dont have a ton of experience using the software for mastering but you couldnt go wrong with the Waves or T-Racks.

Waves is not standalone. i've used both, and Waves sounds a bit better to me. T-racks is easier to use if you're new to mastering cause you can see the whole rack at the same time.

i think you might want to look at bias peak. its a two track editing program and you can use vst plugins to master with. i dont know of any software apps that are standalone and come with teh plugins. pretty sure you gotta get an app, then add the plugs. i recomend waves, but i have never used t-racks. the L1 and L2 plugins kick @ss and make your ish loud, and the c4 and linear multiband clean em up real good, takes out a lot of mud.

I like Waves mastering edition plugins, they seem to have a more cleaner feel than other mastering programs. T-racks is a good mastering program but it sounds a little harsh sometimes. Another good one is ozone 3 by Izotope I like that one better than t-racks. Download the demo and see what you think.
