Pro Tools w/ Digidesign AM3, MBox and 002. I like PT cuz it works most like a hardware recording rig to me.

If I was just getting into recording I'd go with the Akai DPS16 or 24. Simplicity.

Im using a Roland VS890. its 8 track. got 24 bit sound. This thing sounds so dope. I got it in the begining of the year, and everytime i use it, i figure out new stuff. Ima stick with Roland if i get the chance to upgrade.

I use Cubase SX. When I was buying my soundcard Digidesign did not have Pro Tools Le drivers for Windows XP at that time. So I ended buying the M-Audio Quattro and decided to go with Cubase. I have no regrets. Cubase functions great, but I would have preferred the Le due to it being more user friendly. But once again no regrets.

no vote cuz you dont have my option!

i use digital performer at home. actually, i'll vote for pt cuz i use a hd rig at work, but its not mine.

and yes, i believe very firmly in preamps, when you have the money. you dont need one for the beats, but you need em for cutting vocals, fo sho!
