What are you comparing... number of FX, range, usability?

I mean honestly... both can sound pretty bad or pretty good depending on how you use them. I certainly wouldn't consider either to have stellar FX though. If you're going to do some serious processing you're much better off sticking with the PC. If you just want to stick within the box... well do you want the MPC workflow or the Triton workflow? I certainly wouldn't use the FX as a buying point for either.

just the sound of the effects & filters really..., rather than range, number or usability.

i'd want the MPC workflow but i wouldn't mind dropping the sounds back into the triton if people though the effects and filters on the triton extreme sound better..

just wanting the get my plan of action sorted before i get the 2500 in month or so..

Peace!

Well if you have both... they are both samplers... load up what you want for FX into the triton with samples... play those and record into the MPC for further FX processing.

I'm not sure there is much value in processing on the MPC and then loading into the Triton.

Triton FX are DOPE. This is well known. Sometimes I just use mine to route audio through before recording. MPC.. not so much. Filters are much more advanced in Triton with more parameters, Filter ADSR, etc... The Triton resonance is much harsher, and the MPC filters are just smoother overall.

Too bad I started looking at that MOSS board YEARS too late. I didn't take it serious when
someone suggested to me a long while back. Ironically, it was the SAME person who turned me on
to the ASR10, so I know he knows what he is talking about, I just didn't listen, like a dummy.

I got my MOSS brand new 400, right before they became really scarce. I might not still have my triton if not for the add-on. It makes some wild sounds when you spend time in there.

Don't beat yourself up... you can definitely still scoop one if you're planning to keep the triton
