Yo I'm debating what keyboard to get and I have narrowed it down to 3! I have an MPC 2000xl and need to purchase a new Mixer to help me sample, but I'm curious on ya'll opinions. I'm debatting on whether I should go bid for an ASR-10 or save up for a Roland Fantom X-6 or Motifes 6?
Does the ASR-10 have Midi features and is it a great buy? I heard all good reports on it. Where can I get sounds for it? I am really feeling the Fantom X-6 I just like the whole over-all appeal and set up and the Motif is cool, but I like the colored screen and set up of the Fantom, but again I want opinions on what would be better to add to my MPC-2000xl? Sounds, whether it's easy to work with, etc. Thanks

The ASR is a sampler, you'd need to create your sounds, or load some off of a disk, if you're looking for a keyboard with ON BOARD sounds the MOTIF is killer, the instruments sound so friggin' real on it. The Fantom X is a good keyboard, but the instruments on the motif sound more real. The color screen is nice and all on the X, but we're not talking video games, it's music, so... hope that helps.
