I got my MPC 2500 hooked up to the Korg Radias. All works fine ........ on 1 channel. lmao.

I'm guessing this is something to do with the radias and not the MPC. But when I select Midi: 1A I get the current sound from the radias on the pads. I can record into the MPC and it plays back fine. When I switcj to Midi: 1B .... nothing.

I obviously want 1B to be a different sound to 1A. And slight ideas on how to get this moving? Don't matter if you use a different device, I guess they all work the same at the end of the day.

I'm surprised they haven't got you for posting in the wrong section man. Just a heads up, don't be surprised it they move this because it fits in other sections. Not being rude, but you'd probably get better feedback in MPC Studio Environments or the dedicated MPC2500 section because a lot of helpful people don't even seem to come to Off Topic. The Off Topic seems more about people blowing off steam and having fun. Just a heads-up. I'm actually trying to help you get your post answered.

if MIDI 1A is your Radias [Channel 1 obviously] and you wanna use channel 2 on that... you gotta select MIDI 2A.

look at the back of your mpc... "MIDI OUT A" is where the cable running to your radias is coming from, therefore 1-16A are for that midi device.

whereas, MIDI 1B would be "MIDI OUT B" [Channel 1]. got it? the letter is the actual midi DEVICE and the number is the MIDI CHANNEL.

Oh nah man, there's no need to explain to me, I'm not a Mod. It's cool. I hope Crossings solved your problem.
