Need MPC 2000xl and Fast Track Pro Help!!!!

I just bought an MPC 2000xl and the Fast Track Pro but how do I hook up the MPC to the fast track pro? Do I use S/PDIF cables, audio jacks or can I use the headphone jack on the MPC to run to the Fast Track Pro? I have the FTP hooked up to my computer and playing sound but Im lost when it comes to hooking up the MPC to the FTP. Whats the right connection for the MPC and the FTP? When I hook up the MPC to the FTP I get no when using the MPC but the FTP works fine when Im using it without the MPC. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

How are you currently connecting the mpc to the ftp? using the mpc outs to the ftp inputs or via s/pdif? you can connect the mpc outs to the ftp trs/xlr inputs in the front of the fast track pro just make sure it's set to input instead of guitar

MPC´s Stereo Output:

*Switch of the 48V Phantom Power Switch on the back of the FastTrackPro (only used for condensor microphones)

*Left Output via TR Jack to the FastTrackPro´s Input 1
*Switch Input 1 to "Line"
*Lower the gain

*Right Output via TR Jack to FastTrackPr0´s Input 2
*Switch Input 2 to "Line"
*Lower the gain

*Adjust the volume of the MPC - Not necessary maximum
*Adjust the Gains from Input 1 & 2 to a same amount (stereophony - you dont want the Left signal louder than the Right f.e.) Not too high - you dont want to ruin your speakers/ears

MPC´s Digital / Spdif Output:

*Connect the MPC´s Output to the FastTrackPro´s Spdif Input

Thanx!! I was totally lost. I just got my MP and I had no Idea what I was doing. Another quick question. How do I hook up the zip drive to my computer so I can load sounds and samples to use on the MP?

ZIP with SCSI = only for your MPC (I dont tink your PC supports SCSI)
ZIP with USB = for your PC

If you dont have an ZIP Drive with USB = buy one.

Sorry man, but it´s like this game for toddlers.... a box with different shaped holes and different shaped pieces of wood next to the box. Then the toddlers have to find the right object to fit the holes.

Yeah I don't know bout the stupid stuff but I've never used a MP before. Been using software. Was trying to avoid buying another zip drive was hoping there was another way. But thanx for the info. But since your answering my questions how do you sync the MP to Acid Pro 7?

You need Midi Cables.
Search the forum for syncing.
Or read the Manual.
