4 mics thru 1 channel?

Haven't seen the video. Why would you put 4 mics into 1 channel?
Does your group have the mic expertise of the temptations. Balancing their own voices to match in volume
tune and breath control.

Still, don't put 4 mics into 1 channel.

but suppose you wanted to achieve this....any ideas what one could use?

its for a band with a brass section....and the brass section wanna do a few shouts...nothing too spectacular...no silky voices needed :)
and they dont have enough inputs on the mixer for seperate mic channels....

Nah, it doesn't look like the mics are branch into one channel. For one, if you look real close, the cable(s) are thicker than the one used by Dennis Edwards. Which leads me to believe it's just a special mic stand used, probably coupled with a special cable routed to a snake input box.

if it's just a few shoutouts it shouldn't be a problem then. It's not musical at all.
Or am I misunderstanding "shouts"

That's 4 individual mics there with 4 individual mic outputs...When u said 4 mic's through 1 channel I thought u didn't know how to use buses or groups on your mixer lol

Shure M67. No pan pots, but its got 4 ins, 1 out via banana plug, no phantom power. I use it as an alternative mic pre. It sounds pretty nice, and sounds like what you are looking for.

thanks a lot for all your replies....the shure m67 looks prolly ideal,..they needs xlr ins...and the brass section will be sings say one or two words during a couple of songs....not shout outs...but nothing very musical..

just remember theres no phantom power so you will need either a phantom power box or use dynamic mics...
