MPC not recording lower octaves from midi controller.

Got a new Axiom 25 midi controller and I am using it to record midi data onto the MPC. I can not for the life of me figure out what the hell I need to do to make this work, but when I play a softsynth with the Axiom I can hear it fine through the speakers, and headphones, levels show up, but as it records into the MPC the lower octaves do not play back from the MPC when I hit play. It is showing that the midi notes are being recorded though. I know it is probably something simple that I am overlooking. I set up the zone range in the Axiom 25 according to the manual. Could anyone offer any suggestions what I might try next? I think it has something to do with the MPC settings, perhaps?
I'm pulling my frikkin hair out on this one!

One more thing, I can record the lower octave midi data into Sonars sequencer just fine though.

Ok, I updated JJOS2 from 1.23 to 1.24 and now I am able to record the full range of midi notes. Very strange. I didn't think this was a problem at all with 1.23. Maybe it's not and my MPC was just misbehaving? I dunno. It's fixed though.
