Im looking into buying my bro a USB recording device for his MPC2000xl. Im looking for something fairly decent for an intermediate user.I dont really know jack about that stuff, so can anyone give any output on what should I get and what kind of specs to look for? broad question. what is his setup? hardware or software or combination? thier are alot of ways to go. how much are you spending? what kind of computer? what os? break it down for us so that we can get you the best info possible.
sorry bout that. he has 2 slTechnic 1200 turntables and a stanton mixer all hooked up to a pioneer reciever. So he isnt really using that much instruments than that. basically what i want to do is download some of his beats so I can use some for my business on the web. So I guess im looking for something that uses both PC/Mac platforms, for XP/OSX. But mostly I would use it on this PC that runs XP for now. Price range, maybe $70-$150? thanks
