I have them, I think they're great, my room is untreated but I think they're perfect for producing, mixing I always reference my headphones...not much $$ either

I'm in a small space and like that they are ported on the front, bass is fine...obviously not in your chest type bass but you can hear it just fine

Thanks man, appreciate your input,
i've yet to find anything bad said about them. Did some research and found out these monitors are rather old in comparison to the popular hs50m, which makes it harder to get user feedback.
Does the plastic encasing affect the sound? what are they like with the mid range, vocals etc?
I've also heard they pack a little bit more umph on the low end in contrast to the 50s.

I'm just a bit concerned because these monitors offered to me are used, so im not sure of their durability and longevity.
would love the hs80m but my neighbours would probably have me thrown out the building.

you can take the grill off, I did...you will be surprised how loud these get! I always think 5" speakers and say, nah, those can't put out..but honestly when you're as close to the speakers as we are and will be for extended periods it only makes sense to use a smaller speaker at least until I get a bigger space that is treated, these will be fine.

I got mine for $150 on CL so it was a no brainer

I am looking at those new Focal's though, I had some Solo 6 BE's a while back but had to sell them for $$$$, still regretting that decision
