Anybody has this similar setup?

I'm thinking of just eliminating the computer (DAW) from my setup and going with my MPC 2500 and a mixer (something like a Mackie ProFX8, or some other 8 ins mixer). Therefore just re-sampling back into the MPC. Can anybody recommend any good mixer with a price range of up to $700?

Yeh, I would have my turntable running into the MPC as usual. I was just wondering, if I connect the 9 outs on the mixer into the 8 ins on the mixer (4 stereo), and let's say move the fader down, resample, would the new track have a lower volume?
