Sequencing 16 MIDI channels from Motif ES6

What up MPC-Forums fam,

Got this issue, I'm trying to sequence 16 channels of MIDI from my Motif ES6 into the MPC 3000.

I have my Akai MPC 3000 connected to my Motif ES6 via MIDI and I believe I have all of the basic MIDI parameters set up correctly in both units.

SO any Motif ES6 users out there?

I know that the Motif must be in SONG or PATTERN mode, which is its multitimbral mode, in order to send 16 channels of MIDI to an outboard sequencer. However, I don’t know how to access the VOICE sounds in SONG or PATTERN mode.

Basically, how do I set up the 16 individual MIDI channels in SONG or PATTERN mode, with each channel sending a different sound into each track of the MPC sequencer? And just as important, how do I access the library of sounds in VOICE when in SONG or PATTERN mode?

I use a Motif ES rack and know that you must be in "performance" mode if you want to track using your 3k, or any sequencer for that matter.

Every midi channel from the mpc needs to correspond with the same midi channel on the Motif.

I posted the same question on Motifator.com and got this response:

The default initialized SONG already contains 16 parts, each on a separate MIDI channel. So you only need to select a voice for each part.
When in SONG mode, press the MIXING button, then F2 [VOICE].
Now you can press the TRACK SELECT button in the upper right of the Motif which will bring you to the voice list. When you find a voice you want, simply press ENTER and the voice will be set in the current part of the SONG.

Thought I'd share for any Motif ES6 users on the board.
