VST to AudioUnit Adaptor for Mac to use in Logic

does anybody know or use about this program that converts VSTs to readable format?

does this enable you to use any VSTs in Logic?

even **** fruity loops can use VSTs

okay so now im in the understanding that VSTs are a german designed thing that's basically for PC & that AU is basically the Mac version...

So what I want to know now is if i bought one of these converter programs, is it going to play EVERY VST that i convert from VST to AU?

I actually found the link to that site in the Help that comes with Logic.. so they basically told me to go there, i want to make sure that it's going to work for everything u can get or at least most..

i bought an Xstation to control VSTs haha



all those knobs are for tweaking shit in the computer.. ill be pissed if it aint gonna hook up

That's not correct. There are VST plugins for PC and also for Mac. The Fxpansion adapter only works with VST plugins for Mac. Read the FAQ: http://www.fxpansion.com/index.php?page=5&tab=66

AU is a plugin format for Logic created by Emagic (rival of Steinberg, creator of the VST format). At that time Logic ran on Mac and PC. When Apple took over Emagic, Logic became Mac only.

yeah they both work,one with protools for it too read vst's( and it does it flawlessly) the other for logic which I'm using now. it makes a vst folder within logic.

Came across this product recently FREE VST TO AU WRAPPER.

I haven't tried it yet (no vsti' s) so I can't vouch for its performance.

I've used the Fxpansion product before with Pro Tools, works fine apart from the odd glitch from time to time.
