Hi guys! I run into this problem:

I wrote a midi loop in a software program. I exported midi file from it and I loaded it in the MPC card. I am trying to load that to a midi track in order for that midi track to trigger an external synth.

The thing is the MPC wants me to load the mid. file to a new sequence instead of a midi track. I don't want another sequence. I work in a sequence with many tracks one of which I want to be this midi loop.
I actually want the notes from the midi loop loaded on the midi track in the MPC.(in the same sequence I work with other tracks.

Is it a way to do that?

Thanks a lot!!!

See if you can export your midi files from the program you're using as "type 1".

What program is it that you're using anyway?

Why don't you go ahead and load that .mid to another sequence and then copy and paste the track from the new sequence into the one you want it in?

Thanks very much for the answer. I think it may work :)

It's the same issue I'm having with my mpc1000... I've tried to copy tracks to another sequence but it seems not possible... could it be a limitation of the mpc1000?
Thanks a lot

well, I've found the solution... just edit the sequence (mode + pad 13) and the move or copy any tracks to any sequence... :-)
