Has anyone ever set up a mopho (or any other synth) to receive cc messages from the Akai MPK49? I am thinking about getting a mopho but I am gun shy about spending the extra loot for mopho keys when i have a mpk49 with a nice amount of knobs and sliders that could possibly control the mopho paramters. that way i can save money and space and get the sounds I want and not have to deal too much with editor or annoying menus for tweaking. Weigh in...

You just need to program the cc knobs on the mpk49. It shows a cc map for the mopho on the manual that is FREE to download on the Dave smith page

I created it on vyzex mpk49. really easy. funny thing is i havent gotten the mopho yet but its on its way... now i can stop trying it out at GC... ughhh now im out of inputs on my fireface 400.

in case anyone wondered... I finally got my mopho and the cc messages mapped in the MPK49 work like a charm. The mopho is so ill. incredibly powerful for such a small box... I opened it and was taken back by its small footprint but it fits perfectly on the MPK (over the pads which i dont use anymore). I spoke with a homie who just got one too and seems there are much more parameters to map via NRPN. the plan is to map all of the NRPN parameters to neighboring MPK tmeplates / presets (ie MOPHO 1, MOPHO 2, MOPHO 3 etc) until all parameters are mapped making it easy to tweak anything right away from the MPK. I'm running the mopho into the MPC 5000 using input thru to wet it up with various effects. So nice for the price. using the MPK for tweaking which i already had saved me $460 (paid $339 @ Nova Musik) by not buying the Mopho Keyboard. Okay back to business. I need to sharpen my Keygroup skills now.
