Ok, so I copped a Monotron because I was intrigued about whether it could actually receive Control Voltage the way it is rumored.

Good News - It does. Now, with one of the outputs running into the aux in of the Monotron, and the other running into the Hacked CV input, you can theoretically (i'm working on it) control Cutoff via the Pads. This would open an awesome world of sequenced modulation for VERY cheap. (Bass Wobble anyone?)

It basically retrofits your MPC with a classic MS-10 analog filter, with extra-unique control options. I have been updating my Facebook live with my progress today. Anyone who wants to see how to do this hack, just hit me up on the book.

ALSO: If anyone would like the CV program for the MPC I am working on, just hit me up.

o so your just controlling cv from what change in voltage from you audio out right?? seems like a bad way to do it??? why dont you just figure out the cv voltage and use midi to cv convertor to the VCO? you know instead of the output signal use midi, then it would be converted to appropriate cv and monotron goes beep in the tune you want. thats gotta be a better option.. Midi to cv is a few chips and can be done kinda easily and added to monotron and mpc steup instead of a bought midi cv converter that would be kinda bulky.
gotta do the do re mi thing as you turn the screw so its scaled to a octave, that helps it sound more in tune

Does the mpc 5000 send cv? I have a Electrix Filter Factory (just copped off eBay... Makes the 5k synth sound incredible) ... I didn't know the filter factory had cv inputs but it does. I'm new to all this cv stuff. Would ur cv pgm work on the 5k?

filter factory also has MIDI inputs and can sync that way... why would you want to do CV instead?

Yeah I know there is midi on it. There is also a tap tempo for synching lfo on the fly but I figured if it has cv inputs I'd like to check it out since I've never done it before. Just curious. Even if I never do it again it be cool to try it
