Explain 'glitches'

well when i use the learn mode in logic it seems like its wrkn until i deselect the learn mode then some of the knobs and pads start controlling other things. ive cleared the slate and started over and over and over and it still does the same thing. and i got this idea from a youtube video with a guy using the mpk49. should still work. ive read the manual for making parameter changes in the vyzex and its so effin confusing. i'm prolly gonna stop using logic and see how this fends with reason due to the fact that logic likes to keep their product so secluded.

There is nothing wrong with the learn mode in Logic.

Huh? Well if there is nothing wrong with it and you know for a fact, why don't you instruct him in the error of his ways instead of basically telling him he doesn't know what he's doing?

I know nothing about MPK's except that they come with a manual.

The learn mode in Logic is solid, I know that much as I use it myself to map the controls of an M-Audio Axiom 49 rather than mess with the supplied 'template software'.

There is an MPK thread somewhere around here, might be some useful user info there.

It's an Akai product, perhaps they will be so kind as to provide support for their customers.

Unfortunately many midi controllers are not 'Plug and Play' or 'AutoMap' as the manufacturer claims, there is still a fair degree of user set-up that still needs doing.

If I find the thread, I'll post the link.

Make settings in Vyzex- and save as a template - Not got an MPK before - but it was that simple for me - Not used Logic - but used it with Ableton using Learn mode - and built presets for an Access Virus, Waldorf Pulse and a Waldorf Blofed - was pretty easy.

Just need to read the manuals and experiment.

Tutor said he wants no new mpk topics. There is a off topic forum for non mpc topics.
