Korg Radias

Probably gonna get one of these after playing round with one at my local music store and getting a VERY good deal.

Also tried out the Nord but didn't really seem right for the sounds i'm after (although it still sounded incredible).

Anyone have any experiences with the Radias? What you guys think of it?

I already have Massive... I rarely use it, at least in comparison to the rest of Komplete.

Just sounded Airy to me .I wouldnt recommend it but saying that since using soft synths ive learnt more so if i had the Radias R now i may appreciate it more.

Thats cool, i've heard a few people say that its definitely a synth you need to spend time with.

The Radius is built on some pretty cool tech.

Problem is everybody's looking for a different sound. If it fits you nicely and you're getting a good deal... well what the heck right? Worst case you have to flip it and maybe even make a profit right?

I like the digital sound of it, tbh, if i want analog, i will buy analog and skip virtual analog, the radias sounds digital, but for me its definitely what im after.

Should be picking it up real soon, i'll let you know how i get on!

I recently bought a cheap and cheerful synth (Roland Gaia) and I'm really happy with it. Unfortunately my budget was sub £400 or I would have got something more 'pro', but I like the fact that there's no LCD screen with buried menus etc. It's also very easy to get useable sounds that sit well in a mix.

I think if you were a big synth head then you may be left disappointed. The fist mistake I made was to compare it to my previously owned Alesis Andromeda, which obviously has much better build quality, sound and filters. Getting that massive sound to sit in a mix could be a real pain though, and the OS was a piece of shit in my opinion!

My main reason for buying was to replace my virtual synths - which all but a few collect virtual dust - and in that respect it has been a good buy. Sound wise it compares quite well to Albino, but instead of a mouse I've got total control and don't need the computer powered on to use it.
