If you want good sound quality get a mixer that has balanced outputs. Vestax is a good line of mixer.
Also look at rane.

shure m44-7 carts are best, excellent frequency response, loud output and minimal record wear, ortofons (I've heard) tend to wear your records in more than shures.

M44-7 Is super for just Dj'ing at clubs and so. But for sampling i do tend to use a needle with a more "Nice" or HiFi sound to it like the less expensive shure's
Balanced out's are not really needed for sampling i think. It's the eq that really counts!

get the vestax mixer and ortofon spherical stylus(most stable for scratching, doesnt skip + goog sound quality for sampling). but i usually connect the tt directly to the mpc and use the mpc pre.
