hey i just purchased my first pair of technics sl1200 m3d for 400$. they came with ortofon blue concorde needles. good deal? i had researched them in comparison with the mk2's and from what i read they are basically the same thing, the m3d just being a newer model with the auto zero.

1) i was wondering if the line out of my vestax pmc05 could go straight into my monitors. eventually when i sample, i understand the line out of the mixer has to go into the record in of the mpc, however, just to listen to vinyl, it would be turntable->mixer->monitors correct?

2) also, my phono2 line2 switch on my mixer is broken, how easy is the fix?

thanks mpc fam!

1) yes...assuming they are powered. otherwise you need an amp first.
2) very easy fix just make sure you get the right kind of switch (DPDT maybe?) Could just be loose/need some cleaning. Would need a better description of 'broken' to diagnose better. Get out the soldering iron.
