Makie 1402?

I have a Mackie 1402 14 channel mixer. I have a question on the inputs it seems like four of the channels have 2 inputs each ie L and Right they also have on them a button beneath them called line in +4-10 the other 6 channels only have 1 input each (mono?) in the front with a a low cut button beneath each and "channel inserts" in the back. Since I'm not sure what any of this means and I don't have the manual does anybody know what would be the best way to run a mpc through here

The +4 and -10 means balanced or unbalanced signal input. You definitely wanna use the balanced (+4) in's. Select +4, buy some balanced cables at G.C. or somewhere and do the damn thing. All of the channel inputs are mono. The L/R inputs that you're talking about is split between two channels, ie. 7-8. Look close. Leave the low cut OFF. You will probably never need it. That will roll off every frequency below 75Hz. The inserts are usually used for dynamics processing, ie. (again) compressors, gates. Experiment with it, dude. Also go to the Mackie website and you can download the manual for your mixer.
