Was geeked until I found the screen was an ipad, but it seems like something that's perfect for the ipad. If u have a set up u wouldnt need a sequencer right? Midi it to the mpc but can u put a soundcard in the ipad? does it have a stereo out? I really don't kno anything about the ipad.

I mean just compare what JJ has done with the 1000 and 2500 to what Akai has done with their OS's.

JJ has continuelly progressed a machine from 2004 till 2011 and has improved it dramatically. Its amazing what the man has done.

Bingo, and use it as a sound module. Or MIDI it to your sound module and use it as the sequencer.

It looks like the synthstation 49 (and Alesis Studiodock) actually provides audio and MIDI I/O to the iPad. But you could also just get the iPad Camera Connection Kit. Certain USB interfaces are known to work.

It's dope if you want to use the many many iphone / ipad music synth apps in a real recording or live situation. i gives the ipad some pretty good usability for musicians. maybe not everyone's cup of tea... considering the arena (mpc-forums) but i can see it being useful. I'll bet The Gorillaz think so. :D
