Hiya.
I'm struggling a bit here, and there's nothing in the manuals about this.
so, there's 2 types of (Yamaha) AN1x files, AN1x Edit (.AN1) files, from the computers synth edit program, and midi (.MID) files.
The .MID files need to be loaded into a track on a DAW sequencer, then 'play'ed to a usb-midi converter, and recieved via midi by the AN1x synth.
No problems so far, except i don't have a usb-midi converter. (eg midi sport)
What i want to know is if I can put .MID files onto the MPC's flash card (MPC2500) then load that into a track and play it using the MPC as a sequencer, to the synth in the same way, or is the MPC unable to cope with .MID files.
I would try it, but i don't want to mess the MPC up.
I don't know anything about midi files, so is it safe to try?
Many thanks in advance.
cheers
