Portastudio\multichannel recorder

I stacked between tascam 2488 and akai DPS 16. Main feature i need - to record 8 channels from mpc and two from turntable at one time PLUS nice mixing options. tascam can't do that, but it has nice workhop and more effect processors. akai dps can record 10 channels at time (ok for me) but i have to buy expansion card to use more effects..

Problem is i used to record lalready pre-mixed sound from mpc 1000 live to crappy pc soundcard. now i sold 1000 and i want to get 2000xl plus some portastudio to do mixing
budget: 500-600$ 600$ is a pretty max for me

get a used korg D888 for $250... can record 8 tracks simultaneously and you can just drag the WAV files into your DAW via usb transfer...

im trying to avoid pc. don't know, i just have to push buttons, turn knobs, etc. when you using pc, you cant touch anything, only mouse and keyboard, i dont like it at all

well then, even more reason to look into the korg D888... you don't have to use software if you don't want to... it's just a nice option to have. the interface is laid out like an analog mixer with an individual knob for every available parameter.

ok, now tell me what: are theese jack inputs in d888 stereo? if not, only four stereochannels is not enough for me=\
