8 Outs Assignment

jus got the 8 outs for my 2000xl and was messing with the assignments. i see that when you assign- its by 1/2, 3/4, 5/6. but that way i found that when i assign one sound out 1/2 into channel 1 of my mixer i will end up hearing whatever i assign to channel 2 of my mixer also using 1/2 out. but i somehow by accident got it to be just a single out 1, 2, 3.....instead of the 1/2, 3/4, 5/6......i'd rather do it this way since its alot better isolation, the reason i got the 8 out board. if someone knows how to set it up so that its 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8......get at me.

i would suggest you convert your samples from stereo to mono this way a sample will only take up one channel instead of two (1/2 L and R)..

yeeee that could definitly be it, didnt kno that this made a diffrence. thanks man. o ya, anyone tell me what i can use that digital out for??

When you split up your samples from stereo to mono, you may wind up with two different sounds for your L&R-you can assign more than one sound to a pad (so as to maintain something close to your original sound).

Thats what I encountered when I first used the 8out.
