akai s3000xl mpc 2000xl parts capability

I got broken s3000xl, scsi fuse blown. screen, ram and 8 outs board are working ok, what parts from s3000xl can i put to the mpc 2000xl? I think ram is swapable, but what about [s]screen[/s] and output board?
upd: S3000xl screen larger than mpc's so it wont fit.=\ now only question about 8 outs board, looked on forums, and i think it capabale.. ill take some photos when done

does your sound card, for your computer have a sp/dif input?


there is a "work around" for the scsi fuse issue, if you are interested?


the fuse is only $0.50, and any small electronics service center can replace it.

Here is a site explaining how to modify the sampler with a replaceable fuse.
you can DIY or any friend with soldering skills can get this done in just a few minutes.

i already tried to get another scsi fuse lol. anyway i bought s3000xl for ~150$ with shipping included, so its not really necessary to fix broken sampler.

the s3000xl will stil wrk fine with scsi fuse blown, jus load a floppy into it that already has samples or programs saved on it n that will solve the problem, as in it will boot up then just fine.
