Using the MPC as a Sequencer?

I'm using the MPC as a sequencer and my ASR as my sampler. My problem is when I record I don't get any feedback anyone know why? I have all stuff setup perfect so can someone tell me how they do it?

I was already reading that but thanks anyway. All of a sudden it started working, I don't know what I did different. Yo Djames, have you got any weired errors on your ASR10 to ask you to REBOOT. I got some weird ish and it was pissing me off. It's cool now but it was bothering me earlier cause I know this ASR aren't the easiest things to repair.

Yeah I got an error when I was trying to sample one time but I put in an older OS disk and everything was cool, it may be your OS disk. Are you using 3.53? I think 2.01 is the best OS unless you need to read Akai samples or something. Here is a link to all of the OS in case you need another one.
