installing protools!!!

im trying to install protools 8 software on my imac, but i keep getting an error message. i went to the avid website but they didnt help me with shit...just wanna know if anybody has had this problem, and if anyone can help me...

Like what error are you getting

the installer is not responding when i try to load up the software.. but i just loaded up two vst's about an hour ago with no problem...

So whenyou insert the disc it gets hung up while installing?
What PT version and OS
Also computer specs
