i know theres a bunch of threads and the tutorial in this forum section, which ive read + watched the vid..

my problem is strange...

ok i have drums in the mpc 2500/jj,
i have made three tracks in reason with send on different midi ch (1, 2, 3)
i'm trying to create a fourth, but it's triggering on every reason note i've sequenced already.

it did this for the other three tracks when i was making them(which work now)

somehow i did something and it went away with the other tracks...

does somebody now what this is???
really frustrating!

my midi setup is;
*kawai 5000s hardware synth(just used as a controller) midi out > midi in 2(mpc)
*usb uno in > mpc1, out > mpc outA..

mpc-soft thru as track

Where are your drum samples?
Where are your drum sequences?
Are you using the Reason sequencer or
Are you only using the Reason sounds?

None of this is clear from your post...

Alright, First make sure in the sequencer window in reason that the mixer is the only thing highlighted. Then got the rack window and at the top where you have the advanced midi option you want to set each channel up I.E. midi channel 1a set to thor IN, midi channel 2a set to combinator IN, then make sure each channel in the mpc corresponds to that I.E. track one in the mpc is set to midi and then channel 1a to control the the thor and so on and so on

I think that's where a whole lot of people go wrong, routing midi into Reason with the Advanced Midi rack.

But it has to be done to truly use Reason as a sound module.

probally wont need them, just let me be clear. You wanna use the Mpc like normal just doing your beats, but program and trigger sounds in reason with the mpc to, correct? so that your reason sounds are playing with the mpc drums?. If thats what your trying to do i wont need your files, you can send them thought

GOD DAMNIT MAN
AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

i just realised you have to click the arrow on the transport control from > to V then activate it by hitting the record button on the transport/sequencer,
just as i was saving all the mpc/reason session files to send to you man.

i did search and found a thread were nym helped someone out and that was the issue and i tried it but didnt know i had to blah blah..

atleast i figured it out but, i really liked some of the chaos it caused though, so i got to figure that out now. i guess just use the same midi channel somehow or set it to mono.. i have no idea how to recreate the madness that fuk up caused but god damn i'll try.

thanks again to all those who tried to help

i will bless you with this beat when i finish it, and i have a smokin hot singer comin over tomoro to work on something and i thought this was perfect but doin my fkn head in.
phat hip hop breaks/awesome synths/good and evil vibe to it..

hmm honestly i have no idea what you mean when you say you clicked the transport control from > to V, if i understand correctly all that does is minimize that specific channel window :?:

all i did was 'drop down' the transport section in the sequencer window,
then hit the rec button, in that section + the square wav lookin button and it all worked like it should.
now for some reason the transport part is highlighted and it works so im not gonna complain. but i selected the transport part 20 fkn times and it didnt work so i really dont know what was up. :?
