is this product any good?

TASCAM US-122L AUDIO / MIDI INTERFACE USB 2.0 WITH BOX

Need to get me a midi interface, with intentions of hooking my 500 up with Reason. This is one of the cheapest models going on Ebay and I'm wondering if it's cheap for a reason or if any of you cats have owned one and would recommend it to a total novice mpc user.

Never had a problem with Tascam products. The 122 is cool if your just using the 500 with Reason, then yeah its perfect. But if you got more gear like keyboards to work with the 500, then the 244 with its additional in and outputs is more ideal.

No I purely want it, for the time being at least, for reason and my 500.

I've been using the 122L interface for over 3 years now...it serves its perpose if you only need to input one piece of hardware. I mainly purchased it for the phantom power input at the time...now that I have expanded and gotten more hardware, I wish I had additional inputs...Works great with reason/ableton/fruity loops/etc
