poise is excellent. it was my drum VST of choice for my album.
perfect for saving polyphony on the MPC. chop your break on the MPC, assign it to your pads, and then use POISE for extra drum layering and/or multisamples.
very powerful and very streamlined. nothing stupid to get in the way of you and your drums, ie step sequencer, horrible GUI, every effect and its momma.

i was a bit skeptic at first being that Ableton already has drum racks. I thought it was overkill.. BUT i'm liking the ability to layer/stack 16 sounds on 1 pad that shit is good..
