S950 & Technics

I remember seeing a thread long ago where it stated that it wasn't safe to place a tech 1200 on top of a s950, due to magnets or something like that. I seen many do it, and I have no room on my desk, but this is alternative. I have to run across to room to sample something. So is this myth true, or it just should be safe to place the 1200 on top of the 950? thanks!

Your Tech12 is basically a giant magnet, I would be less worried about the S950 itself, though, and more concerned about wiping your floppies.
