MPD32 pad modes: note off, mono, poly

Hey everyone, I just got an mpd 32 for use with logic and ableton. When in logic, I press a pad and it plays a note, but when I take my finger off of the pad it kills the note. Does anyone know how I can make it so that I can hit the note once and it will play the whole note like in mono mode? Im note sure if this is the right section for this question but please let me know. Thanks!

I think this is a setting you have to make within Logic. The reason I say this is because when I use my MPD32 in Reason's Dr. Octo Rex I have to have the release time for the device all the way up if I want the full note to play out on it's own. If I have the release time short I have to hold the pad to play the full note. You may want to check the manual but as far as I am aware of this is done within the software. Check the Logic VST or device you're working in a see if it has a release time adjustment you can make.

If your in exs24, drag your samples to a new group in sample edit mode, at the top left next to zone click group and under "trigger" it will say key down so change that to mono and you should be good.

Click on the sustain button at the bottom right corner. Then I believe you click on the envelope one in the same area and turn down or up the release time.
