I ordered a Behringer xenyx mixer for my mic and mpc basically but now im not sure if I even needed it, do usb mixers usually do well with mpc when moving data to pc or I am wasting money

well if you bought something for no apparent reason and aren't sure what you bought, i guess you could say you wasted money..ask questions first!

yeah you should list the program you are using...

when using an external mixer like this usually you get a few more additives like eqs and better converters than audio interfaces w/o those options... it's a really tough call honestly

i have a yamaha mg mixer running into an mbox 2 mini and it does help especially on the mic end of things as most mbox users know the pre's aren't that great... not saying that the yamaha is that much better but it was built for stage use so a lil more effort was put into it... if that makes sense...

plus i can "phatten" up my microkorg and drums with it because of the eq... giving it a bit of analog flavor before MTB

This. I have a yamaha n12 and its pretty dope. Mine has reverb and a compressor built into each channel, so its cool to play around with that on breaks, drums, and samples to get a cool effect. Especially for just quick tracking out beats to upload them or let artists hear its nice. Sounds liked you didn't waste money, good purchase, OP.
