jus wonderin do any of u guys think cubase sx is a little lazy when it comes to performin tasks , i dont know why when i do simple things like hit the play buttin chop a wave seems like it takes a second for it to actually happen,like sum kinda lag

dunno i do everythinng on mpc and cool edit or soundforge. maybe its the specs of your pc.

i got sum aright specs 1 gig of ram amd athlon xp 2400,whatd u do to yur pc that made it run smoother?

damn u got 1 gig of ram... it shouldnt be laggin at all... clean out all ur b/s, dont get online while u use cubase, get rid off all that pretty ish on your computer, go to control panel and optimize the performance, there are many articles online on how to do this..i suggest u search online..

Go to task manager and get rid of all the processes that you can. Also download X-Cleaner from X-Block and clean up your PC, you may have spyware.

Before you start erasing stuff, check your soundcard. Are you using something with ASIO drivers? What's your latency? (you can check this under "device manager ---> vst multitrack)
With a pc like that you should be able to run everything smooth, even without optimizing xp.
I can run cubase sx on a 1.8ghz pentium with 512mb of ram, and it's very fast. I took me a while to get everything right though.
