What's the deal with this co? somebody tried to buy from here before? any thoughts?

I was checking the site and they have good prices and this program of recycling the bad LCD screens for the 2K and XL for $99 if you return your bad screen, they claim that they don't repair bad screens, just recycle them, which is questionable because repair it is also a way to recycle... anyways...

I noticed they do not accept paypal which I believe it is a bad thing for their business... but I would like to know if you guys tried before to deal with them? I actually sent an email like 4 weeks ago to the email which they put for contact them and never received and answer.

Peace.

Edited:

After all this discussion MPC-Tutor just let us know this:

Basically, those two members were both posting with the same Florida ip address - too much of a coincidence for my liking, clearly the same person, so that ip address has been blocked and they've not posted since. Go figure...

So you are warned you...
Peace.

LOL I know... but I'm serious about this, I just want to be fair with this company and do not judge it just because all the drama about the screens, I would like to read some reviews about people who actually deal with them... mosdmann only talked about them but he never said he bought something from there or if they actually sent what they sell...

True, but not accepting paypal is also a bit dodgy. I sold my XL while the screen was still good, and thankfully the 2500 screens are in good supply if I ever need one. 8)

^^ Well actually I have the 2500LE but also the 2K and the XL, all of them with good working screens, but recently I sold my XL SE1 because the bad screen, actually the screen went extremely bad so I couldn't even read a single digit...

I hear ya, but customer service is HUGE in my book. It's bad enough when a company answers your questions just long enough to get your money and then starts to ignore you, but to never reply to an email? shoooooooo.... :x They may have saved you a huge headache.

ok why do you guys have to drag me into this???

I only mentioned them because their prices are fair and i got my 2kxl screen from them and everything was fine.

Prices on mpcstuff.com is out of this world maybe now that they have a little competition they will come down to realistic.

ohh and dont get me started on PayPal. PayPal is a ripoff and scams buyers and sellers alike. there is just so much stuff PayPal does that is wrong they should be in jail for it. I dont think it hurts a business if they do not accept paypal, paypal got everyone brainwashed that the only safe way to buy online is to use paypal. That is why they make ebay members use paypal, they're the same company and its a monopoly. There is nothing wrong with other merchant companies, google suits me just fine and i have not been ripped of yet

^^ i call bullshit. the owner of mpcworld made the same argument on his facebook wall when a customer asked about paypal.

to me it's obvious - never heard of this site til homedude shows up ignorantly slandering every other mpc site, pushing this unknown site in MANY threads, even ones that have been dead for years, and the best part - accusing everyone else of being covert-ops for the other mpc parts sites. that last fact alone was the red flag that this guy himself is running covert ops trying to get his site out there.

i've read the threads, it's not pretty.
i will admit i could be wrong, but i encourage yall to read the threads yourself and make your own judgement.

might of been an ok site but these shady tactics totally ruined it.

and i still don't see the point in buying a used screen that is going to die anyway. way to delay the inevitable for $100.

edit: the facebook post i was referring to (11 aug i believe) was coincidentally removed after the comment below was posted...that seals the deal for me

Do you have any idea how many mpc2000 and 2000XL users are out there with bad screen????

Not everyone can afford to pay $365 for a screen
