Hi everyone!

I purchased mpc 1000 three months ago, and i figured out most of the stuff that i wanted. I'm using the mpc mostly for sequencing synths and it works like a charm. But i'm having trouble with rythm machine tr 707. I cannot write midi into the mpc using 707's drum pads. Also, mpc won't write midi when playing patterns or tracks from 707. Since it works great with synths i guess the problem is in the combination between mpc and 707. I can use the mpc's pads but it is not the same thing because of the velocity, and it might be a problem since i have LOADS of beats on 707 that i want to write into mpc (midi record, not with pads).

Did anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what might be the problem?
I'm using standard midi in/out on 707 not dyn sync.

Please help!

Igor

most vintage drum machines default to MIDI channel 10... maybe that's the issue? maybe you're just trying in channel 1?

Can't offer much, but my 505 never had any trouble sending out MIDI, and I could always use the buttons to trigger whatever the MIDI out was attached to. It's probably a channel thing like Crossings said.
