Hi all,

I have a pair of Genelec 8040A speakers hooked up to a Motu Traveller with MPC/turntables etc. all going into the Traveller.

Recently one of the Genelec's started crackling a little, not too much but enough to be seriously annoying. I've tried switching out the cables on the speakers so it's not a cable related issue. Anyone have any ideas how I can tell where the problem is coming from? Whether it is down to the speaker or the interface?

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers,
Ed

well, plug each monitor in and test them. if it's crackling on both it could be the motu (test the outs!); if it's crackling on only one of the monitors - it's definitely the monitor.

cheers,

Haha, thank you Captain Obvious, indeed very obvious. Hungover brain not working too well today.

Looked like it was the Motu but having switched off and unplugged everything then reconnected again the crackling has gone.

Hurrah!

Cheers
