Hey guys,
Hope you are well.
I'm sorry if i've posted this in the wrong section. I was quite sure where to post it.
Basically this is how it goes...
1- I sample the kick and truncate it.. Sample sounds fine
2- I sample the snare and truncate it.. Sample sounds fine
3- I sample the hat / rhodes sample and truncate it.. And this is where it goes wrong. When done truncating the last sample, one of the two first sampled all of a sudden start sounding very different, distorted and with clicking sounds at the start & end of the sample. The last sample i truncated sounds fine..
I thought it would be best if I recorded it to show you so here is the link - http://www.sendspace.com/file/svehds
I've tired these options to try and resolve the problem but still it's not working correctly:
- Opened the SP up and re seated the PCB chips by gently rubbing my finger over the top of them to see if any had come loose
- Diagnosis check on startup which says everything is ok
- Saved sounds & seq's to 2 different disks and try reloading but it reloads it as that distorted glitchy samples (it's almost like the system overwrites the original samples with glitched versions of them)
- Spoke to Forat and sent them the audio to which he said he didn't have a clue and has never heard of this problem before
- Sampled the same sound on every pad WITHOUT TRUNCATING but it still does it
I've kind of run out of options and am not sure what to do so I was wondering if you had witnessed anything like this?
Also my SP1200 in question is the reissue and is in MINT condition almost like it's come out of the factory!
Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated
Many Thanks,
SG
