Probably an Easy MPC 2000xl PT9 issue to fix..

Whats good everybody? This is probably a stupid and easy fix but it's been driving me insane for two days. I have my MPC 2000XL hooked up and synced to Pro Tools 9 successfully with PT9 as the master. My issue is that when I press play on PT9, my track always starts at different points of the sequence other than the beginning (001.01.00). I've moved the Time Selector Markers around to all different bars and it continues to play at different points other than the beginning. Any suggestions for my n00b ass?

You havent even mentioned which type of sync you are using, how is anyone supposed to help you?

Gotta provide full details of the setup/ problem otherwise we will be guessing here...

The sync I'm using is Midi Time Code with the frame rate set to 30. I have my MPC 2000xl connected to the MIDI out of my Scarlett 8i6 Focusrite interface and into audio inputs 1 and 2 of the interface. I also set a pre roll to 2 bars. In Pro Tools, when I place the Time Selection marker say on bar 5, the MPC beginnings playing from point 003.03.00 of the sequence. If I place it on bar 7, it beginnings playing from point 001.03.00. Wherever I place the time selection marker, it triggers the MPC to begin playing from any start point other than the beginning.

Did you add two bars of blank space in the MPC as well? Did you set Pro Tools to the same tempo as the MPC?
