I didn't see this posted anywhere so I'm asking. haven't been able to find a solution so i stopped looking and started again.

I have the Juno and MPC MIDI'd but I cant use the Juno's arp. The MPC is the master cuz I just love the sequencer and ease of use, and the Juno reminds me too much of Reason's sequencer...Great on a big screen, a pain in the balls on that lil Juno screen.

Anyway, did I do something wrong? I'll post pics of the settings if need be. $2000 set up and i can't get the arp working :?

i was thinking it had something to do with the midi and the quantize settings having some sort of conflict or something to that effect. Idk. if anyone can, please help

Well if you can get the Juno Arp to work independently, I suppose its just a matter of slaving the Juno clock to that of the MPC?

The answer must be somewhere in the Juno manual midi/ arp settings if you have that...

So can you use the Arp on the Juno independently as it should be?

What type of sync are you using there BTW, midi clock or midi timecode?

I tried looking in the manual. I'll check again tho.

The arp works right when they aren't sync'd.

MIDI clock sync if I remember right. I'll check that now.

Well from what I could work out the Juno G has to be in PERFORMANCE MODE for the arpeggiator to work and the arpeggiator takes up one of your sixteen midi channels.

You need to be able to trigger the arp from [the Juno?] and have it synced to the midi sync signal from the MPC1000.

Make sure 'local on' is set to off on the Juno and that its midi out is connected to the MPC midi input.

Likewise, the midi outs of the MPC should be connected to the Juno. One for the sync signal and one for the midi note data.

Finally the arpeggiator settings on the Juno must be set correctly.

I'm not sure if the Juno recieves midi clock, or whether the arp can be synced to midi timecode, but you have the gear in front of you so you'll have to figure it out.
