I want to filter basslines and drums playing on my turntable using the EQ on my mixer BEFORE I sample into my MPC. ( I LOVE my mixers EQ)

without having to plug and unplug every single time, how can i do this all in one go everytime without unplugging every time?

I just want to be able to filter basslines from my turntable, using my mixer's onboard EQ, then sample that filtered version into my mpc1000. (i hate the mpc eq and effects)

up until now, I've been unplugging everytime and its very annoying to do this everytime + i LOVE my mixers onboard EQ

how and what do you unplug everytime ?
I would suggest running your cables from the output of your mixer to your record inputs on your MPC. or if you have another mixing board with more than 2 outputs run everything into that and connect your unused outputs of your mixing board to your inputs of your MPC.

individual out(s) ---> line in on your mixer.
that way you also have the option of eqing samples that are already on your mpc.

btw: what mixer do you have? i could do with an upgrade.

Thats the diagram.

well, after i run my turntable through channel 4 of my mixer and the EQ, how am i suppose to run back into my mpc 1000?

my mixer has a preamp in it so it will boost my signal (so no need for a seperate amp), but it only has L/R outputs, which i have my speakers plugged into.

how am i suppose to run the sample back into my mpc 1000 record ins??

here's what i have now=

Numark TT ---> Channel 4 on Mixer (to run thru onboard EQ)

MPC 1000 ---> Main outs Channel 1 on Mixer

Microkorg ----> Main Outs Channel 2 on Mixer

Korg Kaossilator ----> Main Outs Channel 3 on Mixer

my mixer/interface (Mackie U420) has an extra Aux Out, this is what i use to bring the EQ'd signal BACK into my MPC...

So here is what I do,

Turntable into Phono Inputs of the U420
U420 Aux Outputs into Record Ins of the MPC 500
U420 Main Outputs go to each of my KRK speakers

I have to turn down the Aux knobs on the other 3 channels, so the 500 wont pickup/record what I have plugged into those 3 channels.

Your mixer sounds like what i have lol
