startup disk s950 with mpc keygroups

Wassup people,
I have been reading a whole bunch of articles all over the web saying
that it's a must have to create a startup disk with keygroups all setup
for your mpc to trigger the s950.

But what settings i actually have to change and save to disk?
How to exactly do this if one wants to make a disk so my 2000xl can
sequence and trigger the s950 perfectly?

Is it only the keygroup settings for one program? or are there more things
i need to tweak and save to disk?

I see allot of senior forum members ( not just on this forum ) telling
people to read the f#%king manuals.
Believe me, I did over and over, but still there are allot of things i'm
unsure about.

ok, so you've read the manual and know how to make keygroups and place samples in them, right?
all that is left to do is select a midi channel on the 950, and set the mpc to the same midi channel. when you play pads on the mpc they will trigger the 950.

to make templates, save program only, without samples. then next time, load program and place your new samples in there.

you save and load the 950 programs on the 950. on the mpc, set the midi channel to whatever the midi is set to on the 950. all that is saved on the 2000 is midi information of your playing of the pads

a program can contain more than just keygroup setting. for example, it can also contain filter and pan settings.

I got many more questions, but I will not burden you any longer

Assign your keygroups like this:

Keygroup 1: Note number: 36 (C)
Keygroup 2: Note number: 37 (C#)
Keygroup 3: Note number: 38 (D)

And so on.

Assign the same notes to the pads. So pad A1 will correspond with midi note 36 (C), which will trigger the sound assigned to keygroup 1. From here it will be almost like programming an mpc.

Also make sure the mpc and the s950 are on the same midichannel.

The machine wasn't built to be used like this. Eventhough a lot of information can be found in the manual. But for a 'shortcut' like this you really need to understand samplers, machines and the mpc very well.
