SUBWOOF PLACEMENT

wSup Yall,

I have a genelec 2.1 monitoring system and I'm struggling with the low end.

The sub is under my desk and obviously when I'm at the desk working i cant hear the sub unless i turn the volume way up or when I stand up!

My question to all yall is
What/Where is the best position for sub placement?

All suggestions very welcome!

Get from under your desk. Place it on the side of your desk out in the open.

ive once heard this: place the sub at the location and height where your going to be
then move (yourself, not the sub) around and listen where the sub sounds best

now, place the sub at that location

i think its weird... but worth a try

That is actually how it is supposed to be.

Too close in a corner and the back port bass reflex will be amp'd up though.
Front bass port can be placed right back against the wall though.
