i was wondering if anyone could help me pick out an 88 key keyboard that is fairly cheap. i know of the triton and the motif but i was just seeing if there was anything else that might be a little cheaper and not everyone has.

I say an 88 key midi board and a bangin sound module might be the route for you!

What about Kurzweil, e.g. a PC1X?
I saw an ex-demo SP88 (digital piano) for $599 at Music123 a minute ago...

Other than that, the major vendors do low-end "digital pianos" that can be MIDI controllers too, and have more than just piano sounds on board. e.g. Korg SP series.

BUY A CONTROLLER!!!!!!!!!!
I bought the Triton LE 88 for my studio and it was THE biggest purchase mistake ive ever made....
Wayyyy to big and heavy......
The reason I bought it was cos the lady I work with wanted to do gigs and needed an all in one solution....
Theres no way shes luggin this thing to gigs man!
