MPC and Sonar 3.1.1...

I cant seem to get the right answer... and im probably gunna get hasseled for asking again but, isnt that what the forums are for?

I am trying to sync my MPC to Sonar 3.1.1 so that I can record all the audio into sonar on seperate tracks and have it all sync up (line up/ play together) perfectly...

Does anyone know how I can get the MPC1000 synced to Sonar 3.1.1?

What are you using to make the mpc talk to your computer!?....If you are using some sort of audio interface, connect the midi in from the mpc to midi out on the interface and midi in on the interface to the midi out on the mpc.....Then set your software to send midi clock or whatever it has...After that set the mpc accordingly...I don't know what mpc your using but on my setup I have the mpc 4000 synced up to cubase.....I use midi clock for the mpc to run with cubase........I set the cubase to send midi clock and in the mpc I set to recive midi clock...Also don't forget to set the frame rate!.......

I am using the Yamaha 01X to make the MPC1000 talk to my PC. The 01X is connected to my PC via a firewire cable. THe MPC1000's midi out is going into the 01x's midi in and the MPC1000's midi in is going to the 01X's midi out.

Also, what is frame rate? I have never heard of that. Stepping into the world of hardware for the first time so Im hearing all kinds of new terms. Anyway, thanks for the replay the first time... I still cant get Sonar to control the MPC1000....

I don't know about the 1000 but there should be a setting somewhere in the sync section that will let you select the frame rate...It will cosist of numbers such as 24, 25, 30d, and 30....Make sure you have the right number selected!..You might wanna try searching for some previous topics in the mpc 1000 forum about running the 1000 with some software..The hook up is basically the same for all software....

What you are looking for is under options, Projects, and then the setting "ticks per quarter note". I set this to 96 as this is what the MPC uses.
