Sequential Circuits Vintage Drum Machine,, Drumtraks

Just got one of these for dirt cheap,,, anyone familiar? It has a couple issues, but I'm planning to fix it up!

This box is pretty sexy. Now I see what the new Roger Linn / Dave Smith machines are trying to look like

Yep that SCi drum traks is by Dave smith. It is the first MIDI drum machine ever. I got one to. Though of course i just sampled the hell out of it and put em in the MPC. I also found that overdriven samples sound great to, when they are clipped to a square wave by sampling at a high level. I replaced the POWER Capacitors. After 30 years they degrade and have to be replaced. Also my battery will not come out. It has leaked and ceased into the mount. That means i loose stuff when i turn it off. BUT it is midi, and i think takes two midi channles - 1 for note, and second channle for pitch, and are sent at the same time. Mine is in allright condition. You need another wooden panel, but they are easy to make
